Is there anything more wondrous and carefree than the happy laugh of a child?
We were over at my cousin's for dinner last Saturday, and her hubby, Ian, was telling us that their little boy, Russell, is starting to bang his head when he gets upset. Ian proceeded to demonstrate this to us by holding on the the sides of the table and 'banging' his head against the table top three times.
Russell, who was sitting in his high chair next to his dad, got this look of pure and utter joy in his face. His little dimples flashed, his little teeth glinted, his mouth opened wide and he laughed and laughed and laughed! It was a sound of such pure, unadulterated joy that we couldn't help laugh right along.
This morning, on the way to work, hubby and I were talking about it, and I would venture to say that this is something we will remember forever. I only wish we had recorded it so that I could share that joy with you.

He is the cutest. Love his smile.
We are expecting our first in August, and I have to admit, I am pretty apprehensive about a LOT of things. But is little stories and reminders like this that help me in my moments of weakness. I don't know yet how full my life can be.
